Guidelines for submitting information to the catalog

Newly discovered disk

If you wish to have a candidate resolved disk submitted to the catalog and your results are in press, point us to a copy of your preprint, let us know when the publication date will be, and we will update the catalog accordingly.

Submitting published images

If you wish to submit an image of a known resolved disk, that you have the rights to, please send us:

  • a jpg or gif file of the image,
  • a note of the published reference of the image
  • and a brief statement that you are allowing us to display the image

and we shall add it to the database.

How frequently will the catalog be updated?

Newly resolved disks will be added as we become aware of them. You can help by pro-actively sending your object and journal citation to us.

Website History

Beginnings

Our initial compilation of resolved disks was presented at IAU meetings in 2000 (Manchester) and 2003 (Sydney). Dr. Caer McCabe created the first online version with full reference lists in 2005 while a NASA Postdoc at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
